Here Is How I Write HTML Code Without Knowing How

I use the the WordPress platform for my blog and there are times where inserting HTML code is allowed in order to change the look and feel.  However I don’t know how to write HTML code.

For example when you are in the widget section of WordPress there is a text box you can drag to any of the widget areas.

Write HTML

This text box is used for inserting the LIKE button that facebook provides the code for or the FOLLOW button that twitter provides the code for or inserting a YouTube Video that YouTube provides the code for.

The Get Updates Via section in the top right of ByzBlog is all HTML code, here is what it looks like in code.

How did I learn to write HTML code like this?  Easy!

All you do is start a new post in WordPress, craft your message with color and pictures they way you like it.  If you don’t know how to insert a picture or change the font color of text then this is too advanced for you.  Most of us learned this stuff playing with Microsoft Word over the years.  Once you have finished now is the fun part.  Here is how you write HTML code.

In the top right corner of WordPress while on the edit post page you will see 2 tabs one says Visual and the other HTML.  Click the HTML tab and Voila! You now have your HTML code.  Copy and paste the code wherever you need it.

This is how I write HTML code 100% of the time.   The BIO’s for the authors on this blog post can be written in HTML.  If you don’t use HTML then no links will be hyper, I have 4 links and some color in mine.

Obviously this is basic coding and code but why learn how to write HTML when you don’t have too?  Going into the backend of a website and manipulating it is another story.  It’s amazing how often I use the above technique though.
